Eligibility Criteria

For those who are applying for MDU, Rohtak can go through the eligibility criteria required for different courses. The eligibility criteria for MDU Admission are as follows-

• To apply for B.A./ B.Com (Part II/ Part III), the applicants must have qualified B.A./ B.Com (Part I/ Part II) examinations of Maharshi Dayanand University or from any other recognized University (provided all the subjects offered by the candidates in B.A./ B.Com in Part I/ Part II are similarly available in MDU and the applicants are otherwise available).
• The applicants applying for M.A. (in English/ Political Science/ Hindi/ History/ Sanskrit/ Public Administration/ Economics) must have qualified Bachelor’s Degree/ Shastri Exam (New Scheme) for 3 years or any other exam recognized by MDU as equivalent to these qualifications.
• The candidates applying for M.Sc (Mathematics) must have a qualified Bachelor’s Degree or 3-years duration with Mathematics as one subject in each year or some other exam recognized by MDU or equivalent thereto.
• To apply for M.L.I.Sc (Master of Library & Information Science), the applicants must have qualified L.I.Sc from MDU or any other recognized University.
• The candidates who are applying for M.Com must have completed B.Com (Hons./Pass Course)/ BBA/B.A with Commerce/Marketing/Economics/Insurance as a subject or any other exam recognized by MDU as equivalent thereto.
• To apply for M.A. in Economics/ Political Science/ History/ Public Administration)/ M.Sc (Mathematics) (Final)/ M.Com (Final), the candidates must be treated as promoted to the next class automatically unless detained from appearing in an exam or on any genuine grounds.
• The applicants are applying for B.L.I.Sc (Bachelor of Library & Information Science), must have qualified Graduation from a recognized University or equivalent.
