Jammu & Kashmir State Board of School Education
The Diploma in Elementary Teacher Training Education Programme is meant for preparing teachers for Primary and Elementary schools, i.e. preparing teachers for age-group of 5+ to 13+. The content of Elementary Teacher Training Programs emerges from the role and functions of an elementary and nursery school teacher and has the potential and plausible to prepare the trainees to handle effectively the elementary school curriculum from standard I to VIII, as well as, preprimary curriculum.
NCTE ACT IS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE STATE OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR
Duration of the Course: The Program is full time regular course of duration of two Academic years.
Eligibility:
a) General category candidates with at least 45% marks and scheduled caste/scheduled tribe, OBC, LOC and Physically      challenged students with 40% marks in the Higher Secondary Examination Part-II/Senior Secondary Examination (+2), or its       equivalent are eligible for admission.
b) Admission shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, or as the Board may notify from time      to time.
c)Â There shall be reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/LOC/and physically handicapped, etc. as per the rules.
Board of Secondary Education Madhya Pradesh
The D.Ed.Programme is meant for preparing teachers for elementary schools ( primary and upper primary / middle). is approved by NCTE, New Delhi and Dept. of School Education, Govt.of M.P. Bhopal and affiliated to Madhya Pradesh, Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal. D.Ed. programme is helpful in all round development of students, interested in joining teaching profession. After doing D.Ed. they are well trained for teaching primary classes and are preferred in different States such as Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and in Central Schools.
Duration: The D. Ed. programme is of a duration of Two Years.
Eligibility: Higher Secondary minimum of 50%(45% ST/SC OBC AND HANDICAP,AND BACHLOR DEGREE SHOW ) marks. As per the rules of the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.

Duration of the Course: The Program is full time regular course of duration of two academic year.
Eligibility : Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree or any other Qualification recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the program.
Note: (i) There shall be no rounding off of percentage of marks of the qualifying examination from 0.5% and above to next higher                 number for determining the eligibility i.e. 49.5% and above will not be rounded off to 50%.
(ii) 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
(iii) 45% marks for Blind /Physically Handicapped and Visually Impaired candidates.
